Brazilian Metallurgy, Materials and Mining Association

6th edition of ABM WEEK will be held in October

The technical-scientific week will take place from October 19 to 21, 2021, at Pro Magno, in São Paulo. The dates for registration and submission of papers have also been adjusted.

In view of the uncertainties surrounding the Brazilian calendar for vaccination against Covid-19 in the first half of this year and prioritizing the well-being of all parties, as we have always done, the Master Organizing Committee decided to postpone the 6th edition of ABM WEEK.

Originally scheduled to take placer from June 8 to 10, 2021, the technical-scientific week will now be held from October 19 to 21, 2021. The venue remains the same: the Pro Magno Centro de Eventos, in São Paulo.

“ABM WEEK has been a successful event since its first edition in 2015. And, in view of the pandemic scenario, we wouldn’t be able to hold the event in June at the same standards as in recent years. Therefore, postponing it to October was the best decision," explains Horacidio Leal Barbosa Filho, ABM’s CEO.

Due to the postponement, the schedule of activities has been adjusted. The submission of papers, which would close on February 12th, will remain open until May 31st. Registrations with a 20% discount will be extended until June 30th. The new schedule will be released on September 3rd.
