Abstracts of technical contributions must be submitted according to the following standards, on a proper form:

    • Title: up to 150 characters
    • Objective: up to 460 characters
    • Methodology: up to 620 characters
    • Achieved or expected results: up to 620 characters
    • If the event is divided into themes, the abstract must be submitted only for one of those areas
    • Name, e-mail, telephone area code and number must be supplied for every author of the paper
    Abstracts will be evaluated by the technical committee members. Those responsible for approved contributions will be requested to send them in full

    Technical papers contributed to be published in the proceedings must follow the format below: (oral and poster):

    • File format: Word for Windows
    • Page size: A4 (210 X 297 mm)
    • Font: Arial – Size: 12
    • Margins: 2.5 cm
    • Line spacing: single
    • Maximum number of pages: 10 (including summary, figures, and bibliography used)

    FIRST PAGE
     The first page must include the summary of the paper, in the following format:

    • Title: Arial – size 16 - bold – upper case – centered
    • Three lines blank
    • Authors: Arial – size 12 – numbered in ascending order – numbers superscript – alignment: right
    • One line blank
    • Summary: justified (200 words maximum)
    • One line blank
    • Keywords: up to three words – lower case
    • Footnotes: (At the bottom of the page)
      • Full name of the event the paper is being submitted to, date and location of the event
      • Position title and company/institution the authors belong to

    BODY

    • On page two: introduction (if any) and beginning of text
    • Text - alignment: justified - single spacing
    • Bibliography used, following the text (according to ASTM rules)

    LAST PAGE

    • Content similar to that of the first page of the paper, only in bold and in English.

    FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS

    • Do not abbreviate the title of the paper.
    • Do not abbreviate names of authors.
    • Graphs and legends can not exceed page size (A4).
    • Legends must be placed below figures or tables.
    • Paper must be plain white, with no logo, watermark or the like.

    IMPORTANT

    • Follow paper standardization guidelines closely.
    • Do not number pages.
    • Revise your text to correct typing and grammar mistakes. ABM will not correct or account for mistakes.
    • Graphics must be saved and inserted into the document, using the JPG or GIF format.
    • Compressed files only in winzip for windows format.
