Assessment criteria

TOPIC
Determines the commonplace interest and consistency of the theme presented, besides assessing the degree of interest which it must arouse in the audience to which it is intended.

INNOVATIVENESS
Determines the degree of innovation presented in the paper in relation to local and international technical literature, besides the experimental techniques it employs.

SCIENTIFIC RELEVANCE
Determines how much the paper contributes towards scientific learning within the context in which it is inserted.

TECHNOLOGICAL RELEVANCE
Determines the degree of contribution the paper provides for industrial development - process, products or services.

METHODOLOGY
Determines propriety and suitability of the method, instruments and techniques employed and the consistency of conclusions in relation to the data submitted.

STRUCTURE
Determines the degree of organization of the different parts of the paper - introduction, development and conclusion; the balance between the theory and the experimental portions of it; besides the quality of the bibliographical reference, its size and whether or not it relates to present-day.

PRESENTATION
Determines the extent of clarity, precision and conciseness, besides the quality of the written text and the graphic quality of the paper as a whole.
