NORMS FOR SUBMITTAL OF ABSTRACTS
Contributions must be unpublished in Brazil
The people interested in submitting technical papers to the seminar, must fill out the registration form for paper abstracts, available on ABM Website:
www.abmbrasil.com.br/seminarios/laminacao/2008/sending-abstract
Authors must indicate the format of the paper presentation: oral session or poster. This format is subject to change according to criteria used by the organizing committee and/or editorial board.
The publishing committee will evaluate the abstracts and the full text of all papers submitted the highest quality to the event and its records aiming.
This evaluation will also be used as criteria for establishing a ranking of the best papers, qualifying authors to run for awards which will confer upon them recognition for their technical skills, determined according to the paper’s topic, and having the paper published in the magazine Tecnologia em Metalurgia e Materiais.

PROCEEDINGS
Papers sent to ABM event department that meet the deadlines and are selected by the committee will be part of the official program, as well as of the seminar proceedings.
ABM reserves exclusive publication rights.
PUBLICATIONS
Papers presented in the Seminar, besides being published in the seminar’s proceedings, will compete for additional publication in the magazines Tecnologia em Metalurgia e Materiais, Materials Research and Matéria - an on-line scientific journal, to be published in 2009.
All three magazines are rated as Level A in Engineering II (materials, metallurgy, mines, nuclear and chemical engineering) in the Qualis Program by CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior/MEC (a Brazilian government agency that fosters higher education programs).
