DEVELOPMENT, ADAPTATION AND APPLICATION OF CERAMICS, COMPOSITE AND POLYMERIC MATERIALS

Scope: Technical contributions to be submitted to the development, adaptation and application of Ceramics, Composite and Polymeric materials shall approach issues, individually or in groups, related to: raw materials characterization, synthesis, processing, treatments, mathematical modelling, computer-based simulation, properties, micro/nanostructures, practical applications, technological innovation, recycling and environmental impacts. Due to the broad scope of this theme, emphasis will be placed to contributions to those aspects related to research, development and usage, aiming the Brazilian productive efforts.
DEVELOPMENT, ADAPTATION AND APPLICATION OF FERROUS METALLIC PRODUCTS
Coordinator: Willy Ank de Morais - COSIPA/UNISANTA
Scope: The purpose of this seminar is to gather professionals, researchers, students and businessmen to present and discuss papers aimed to develop new ferrous products and the non-trivial adaptation and application of existing products. Participants may highlight efforts for scientific and technological development, as well as interchange and/or interaction experiences in companies and between them, research and instruction institutions and fomentation organizations. Case studies are welcome, as well as potential application of the papers and products presented in the areas of metallurgy/mechanics, civil, automobilistic, chemical/petrochemical, marine, nuclear, electrical components, special steels, alimentary etc. It is an excellent opportunity for material producing or consuming companies to present their developments and current needs, and also for research/instruction institutions to show their current work areas and results. It serves also as opportunity for professionals and students to exchange experiences, information and ideas.
DEVELOPMENT, ADAPTATION AND APPLICATION OF NON-FERROUS METALLIC PRODUCTS

Scope: Metallic non-ferrous alloys products are getting increasingly important in today's society. The aim of this session is to gather industry professionals from product development and marketing areas, entrepreneurs and academic researchers, in order to disclose and discuss current applications, innovations and trends on usage of non-ferrous metals - not only the well known aluminum, but also copper, nickel, zinc and other non-ferrous metals with increasing importance in electronics.
Important works currently developed by companies and research institutions can be presented in this session, showing the lack of resources for them.
In short, this shall be a forum for experience exchange and work disclosure in this important growing industry, involving the industry itself, academic area and research centers, from Brazil and other countries.
