After the association of Tecno-logos with Aços Villares S.A. and BNEDSpar, the Tecnored technology is in the implementation phase of its first industrial demonstration unit, with a production capacity of 75,000 ton/year and start-up expected for the end of 2005.
The operation of this plant, which promises to determine the beginning of the worldwide consolidation of Brazilian technology Tecnored, will serve not only as a show-case of the technology's operation, but also as an instrument of dissemination of a new production and marketing concept for iron units worldwide.
Strategies such as the over-the-fence supply of metal, complete recycling of solid waste, optimization of iron unit transportation, optimum load for blast furnaces, change of the steel plant business limits, blast furnaces retrofit, etc, promise to redefine the way the siderurgical sector currently operates. This is the technology providing new operating schemes for the siderurgical sector.
For that purpose Tecnored has an exclusive and worldwide association with the company Danieli Corus, celebrated after a careful mutual selection process, aiming at the engineering support of the plant and blast furnace, in addition to marketing and sales of the Tecnored process.
In this work the demonstration plant construction status and the undertaking main data will be presented, as well an overview of the Tecno-logos group business plan, regarding the potential market niches (integrated plants x mini-plants, developed countries x under development countries, etc).
Finally, the continuous technology development strategy will be presented, designing the main fronts of action, methodologies, selected partners, among other relevant factors. |
